PINK PANCAKES AND APPLE CUPCAKES ;)

Hello beautiful person reading this.Thank you for stopping by today. I've not written in a while and i kinda missed it.But life has been happening very fast.
Today was one of those days that too many things went wrong one after another but i'm here and i'm thankful i can laugh at it.
First the atm wouldn't give me my money even when it showed it had been deducted from my account,then i went into the bank to complain and i was told to call customer service,i did and they kept me waiting for almost 30 minutes,my call credit finished,had to buy more with money i needed for something else.Still no help from the bank people and it was freezing! Finally came home and i had missed my lunch and most people that have met me know that i don't really function well when my tummy is empty.So i hurried to make me something to eat and i wasn't very happy with the result :( The only things that turned out exactly as i wanted were my yummy apple cupcakes.Yay!. And another big Yay! for my pink pancakes over the weekend.Here's a little peek...



its really easy ,just make your usual pancake mix and add  pink food
 coloring to a little milk then  beat  it in
.

Voila! yummy and fun.The only thing that's missing is fresh strawberries:)
i miss summer.

These were made with my silicone cake mold. They work really well.


I love how the pancakes turned out.Next one is gonna be a different colour or maybe rainbow pancakes.hmm....yummy yummy in my tummy.I can't wait for my nieces to grow so we can make stuff together.

NATURAL HAIR:MY JOYS AND PAINS.

I think only the people that live around me know how much i love my hair. It probably gets annoying cos i take so long to work with it and if you live in a hostel,that's really not a good idea.he he he .My flatmates are the best.
Did i say i love my hair? cos i really do.:) 
I have been completely natural for 4 months now and i think its one of the best hair decisions i ever made.If you have a scalp that hurts,itches and won't let you sleep then you probably understand me.
I come from a family of Rapunzels and i was close to being one of them until i started university and my scalp went crazy.The weather here hasn't helped at all.I tried everything,saw a doctor,bought every product and went broke,he he,still no improvement.So a year ago, i decided to stop relaxing and a few weeks after my birthday,i cut it all off.Been on the natural/healthy hair journey ever since. 
Some days i love it,some days i want to cry cos my hair is not done and i have to get to school but most of the time,i really really love it.
I'm still a product junkie(but that's a story for another day),my scalp is still loco and i'm still figuring out what works for me but i'm enjoying every minute of it.
I was able to do my first proper bun-look alike today.*doing my happy dance*.This is how far i've come.

ONE STEP HEALTHIER.

Hello my lovelies.Hope these first few days of the year have been nothing but wonderful for you.I had a long break and i think i slept for twelve out of the twenty four hours of every day.School has been taking up a lot of my time and i can't wait for graduation(doing my happy dance).
This year is the first i haven't made resolutions at all.Normally,i'd have up to 20 things i wanna do in the new year and sometimes i actually get to all of them.But i decided to do things a little differently this year and see how it goes.So i'm working on anything i need to work on everyday. 
I realized i'm not very fit physically.I'm out of breathe just climbing the stairs and i've been doing that for years! My mum takes long walks every morning and it does help cos when people see her pictures,they think she's my big sister! 
 So i decided to put some more time into getting in shape and i've chosen yoga to start with.I started a couple of years back but stopped after a while and it hasn't been very easy starting again.You should have seen my first proper yoga session... HILARIOUS! Hats off to those who do it well.

I read up on the many health benefits of yoga and some of them are;
  • improvement of posture and strengthening of muscles to decrease lower back pain.
  •  helps in improving sleep and aids relaxation.
  • less stress,increase in endurance and energy levels.
So this is one of the many things i have to do to get healthier and its true what they say...i did feel a little lighter after 30 minutes of yoga.
So what are you doing for your body this year. I hope this inspires you to try something new and very different.
If you fall all over the place like me and you can't sit,raise your legs and touch your toes at the same time,just laugh,relax and try again.We all get better with time.:)

TRY DOING IT YOURSELF

Hello :)  Let's talk about making stuff.
I've been a huge fan of DIY projects for as long as i can remember.Cutting stuff up,moving them around , gluing, sewing them back together or just making something new from scraps i have lying around makes feel like a child again.Just the joy and satisfaction of wearing or using something you made is wonderful.There are loads of tutorials on youtube on how to make different things.So i encourage you to try your hands at making something today.You can start small and simple but you'll be amazed at how much you can do with very little.My latest project is my cereal box or paper file clutch bag.There will be a link to my youtube channel to learn how to make it.Enjoy!

My first clutch bag was made out of what i'll call a happy mixture of boredom and cereal boxes staring at me and it still has parts of it falling apart.he he he. I've had to make more and figure out how to make the next one better.So please remember that patience a key ingredient to any project.Have fun and be creative.

Happy new year my lovelies.I wish you all the wonderful and beautiful things that you want for yourself this year and then some peace,love,happiness,success and good health to go with all of them.
Make this year memorable.Take chances,make new friends,do things a little differently,slow down and enjoy each day,tell the people you love that you love them,be appreciative of those who love you,have no space in your heart for greed or envy,the only person you should compete with is the person you were yesterday.
